Asynchronous delivery

Record and share a useful walkthrough

Walkthroughs combine a screen recording, transcript, optional context, attachments, and controlled sharing for asynchronous client delivery.

Record with a clear outcome

  1. Open the client’s Walkthroughs tab and start a new recording.
  2. State the purpose and intended decision at the beginning.
  3. Show only the applications, tabs, and customer information appropriate for the recipient.
  4. Finish with the next action, owner, and timing.

After recording

  • Wait for upload, media processing, transcription, and thumbnail generation to finish.
  • Add a concise title and description so the recipient knows why the walkthrough matters.
  • Review the transcript and generated context before relying on it.
  • Attach supporting files only when they are safe for the intended audience.

Sharing and retention

Create a controlled share for the intended client contact and revoke it when access should end. The Founder plan includes 5 GB of walkthrough storage per workspace; manage obsolete test recordings before they consume useful capacity.

If processing stalls

  • Keep the browser open until the recording upload completes.
  • Confirm an audio-transcription provider is configured when transcription is expected.
  • Retry processing only after the previous job has clearly failed.
  • Use a shorter recording or smaller attachment when the source exceeds browser or network limits.
